SUMMARY:Bolton County Police Station
DESCRIPTION:Bolton County Jail\, located in Lancashire\, England\, opened in 1821 to house prisoners from the surrounding area and played a significant role in the local justice system. Historically\, many convicts were sentenced to capital punishment at the courthouse\, with their fates sealed by the hangman’s noose. Executions took place both at a nearby public house and a field across the road\, which remains undeveloped and considered sacred ground to this day. \n\n\n\nOver the years\, the jail underwent several renovations and expansions to meet evolving standards and requirements. Like many jails of its era\, it was known for its harsh conditions. The facility closed in 2013 and was repurposed as a college\, but the courthouse and jail structure remain intact. As a Paranormal Investigation company\, we feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to explore such a historically significant building. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nWe’ll start by introducing you to the venue\, followed by a walkthrough with our staff to explore the areas you’re most drawn to. With only 20 participants in a large venue\, you’ll have plenty of space to conduct your investigation without overcrowding. At Paranormal INC\, we prioritise smaller groups to give you maximum time in the venue and the best possible ghost-hunting experience. \n\n\n\nYou’ll have access to our staff’s equipment if needed\, but feel free to bring and use your own methods. This is YOUR investigation—you decide how you want to conduct it! Our team is there to assist and support you if needed. \n\n\n\nTake advantage of the opportunity to explore these historic locations without large crowds or excessive noise from other groups. This is your chance to experience the paranormal in a more intimate and focused setting. \n\n\n\nWe can’t wait to see you there! 👻🔦 \n\n\n\n\n\nAddress; 66 Castle St\, Haulgh\, Bolton BL2 1AE \n\n\n\nParking: Parking onsite (back of the building)\, street parking also available. \n\n\n\nFood and Refreshments: Hot and Cold drinks provided\, please feel free to bring your own refreshments\, no alcohol policy. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: The building does have lifts but some areas are only accessible via steps.

SUMMARY:Mill Street Barracks
DESCRIPTION:Mill Street Barracks\, located in St Helens\, Merseyside\, was completed in 1861 and originally served as the headquarters of the 47th Lancashire Rifle Volunteer Corps\, formed during a period when Britain strengthened its local defence forces. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries\, the barracks remained a central hub for part-time soldiers in the town\, later becoming associated with the South Lancashire Regiment. \n\n\n\nAt the outbreak of the First World War\, Mill Street Barracks played a key role in the mobilisation of local men\, many of whom gathered here in August 1914 before being deployed overseas. The building continued to serve military purposes into the Second World War\, and in 1940 its unit was converted into a Searchlight Regiment of the Royal Artillery\, reflecting the changing needs of Britain’s air defence during wartime. \n\n\n\nFollowing the war\, the barracks continued to be used by various Royal Artillery units\, including light anti-aircraft roles\, until the military presence in the building gradually reduced. In 1969\, the remaining unit relocated to newer facilities\, and Mill Street Barracks was officially decommissioned from active military service. \n\n\n\nToday\, the building has entered a new chapter. Mill Street Barracks is now home to the Sea Cadets\, continuing its long tradition of discipline\, training\, and community involvement—this time focused on youth development\, leadership\, and life skills rather than military mobilisation. \n\n\n\nWe’re looking forward to welcoming our customers as they join us for our first ever paranormal event at Mill Street Barracks\, where we’ll explore the history\, atmosphere\, and stories still held within these historic walls. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect \n\n\n\nWe’ll start by introducing you to the venue\, followed by a walkthrough with our staff to explore the areas you’re most drawn to.
