SUMMARY:Preston Playhouse
DESCRIPTION:Preston Playhouse\, situated in Preston\, Lancashire\, was initially established in 1847 as a Friends Meeting House for the Quakers. It was designed to host large gatherings\, featuring high ceilings and women’s balconies to facilitate significant attendance. The building functioned as a Quaker meeting space until 1924\, after which it became a dance hall and later served as an army records office during World War II. \n\n\n\nIn 1949\, the Preston Drama Club acquired the building\, marking its transition into the Preston Playhouse we recognize today. Since then\, it has been repurposed as a theatre\, undergoing renovations to improve its facilities\, including adding a stage\, proscenium arch\, and seating​. \n\n\n\n​Rich in history\, the Playhouse is also said to host various spirits\, including a notable figure named Albert\, who is believed to be searching for his lost children in the area. This site is one we have had the privilege of investigating in the past. The activity we’ve encountered here has made it a venue we’ve wanted to include in our events since our inception. We are truly grateful to the team at Preston Playhouse for accommodating our investigations amid their busy schedule​. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nWe’ll start by introducing you to the venue\, followed by a walkthrough with our staff to explore the areas you’re most drawn to. With only 20 participants in a large venue\, you’ll have plenty of space to conduct your investigation without overcrowding. At Paranormal INC\, we prioritise smaller groups to give you maximum time in the venue and the best possible ghost-hunting experience. \n\n\n\nYou’ll have access to our staff’s equipment if needed\, but feel free to bring and use your own methods. This is YOUR investigation—you decide how you want to conduct it! Our team is there to assist and support you if needed. \n\n\n\nTake advantage of the opportunity to explore these historic locations without large crowds or excessive noise from other groups.
